What a fantastic  weekend of great racing from our Burleigh Fire Dragons crew with some great results. Our Senior C team fought strongly in the wet and windy conditions to take out a GOLD medal in the Women's small boat 500m race and a SILVER medal in the Women's small boat 200m race. Our newly formed Senior B team paddled  strongly to make it through to the finals of their 500m and 200m events in equally tough conditions to finish in 4th position in both events This is a great result for a team racing together for the first time.

The two teams then joined forces to compete in a very exciting Open womens standard boat 2 kilometre race against some very strong team. Despite our 7th from 13 overall placing this event was one of the  way  throughgreat highlights of the day made all the more exciting by the very overcast and windy conditions and the fighting spirit of our paddlers who fought their way throughout the event.
